Important rules from UGC 2018 Regulation (Table 2 notes)

The research score must come from a minimum of three (3) categories out of the six top-level categories (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
The combined score from 5(b) Policy Document + 6. Invited Lectures is capped at 30% of the total research score.
For two authors: each gets 70% of the publication value. For more than two authors: 70% to the First/Principal/Corresponding Author and 30% to each Joint Author.
For joint research projects: PI and Co-Investigator get 50% each.
For joint Ph.D. / M.Phil. supervision: Supervisor and Co-Supervisor each get 70% of the score.
A paper presented at a Seminar/Conference and also published in Conference Proceedings is counted only once.
